Authors

Grey Dog Books currently publishes novels by two authors.

Ed James

Ed James is from Carnoustie. He’s never heard of it either. He writes police procedurals set in Edinburgh, Dundee, London, Seattle and the Scottish Borders. Since 2012, he’s published over 40 novels and sold over 2.5m copies, somehow. Even he doesn’t believe it. Before he started writing full-time, he made a dishonest living in banking, helping to fail to deliver massive change programmes for large banks and other boring stuff. He lives in the Scottish Borders with two daft greyhounds and some hens, who are also daft.

Neil Broadfoot

Neil Broadfoot worked as a journalist for 15 years at both national and local newspapers, including The ScotsmanScotland on Sunday and the Evening News, covering some of the biggest stories of the day.

Falling Fast, which was shortlisted for the Dundee International Book Prize, is the first in the Edinburgh-set McGregor and Drummond series of thrillers, now bring republished by Grey Dog Books. His new Stirling-set series, beginning with No Man’s Land, features close protection expert Connor Fraser and has been hailed as “tense, fast moving and bloody” and with a “complex cast of characters and a compelling hero”. No Man’s Land was longlisted for the 2019 McIlvanney Award.
